Overview
My current work expands from museum-based digitization toward locally embedded digital heritage systems rooted in Leimert Park.
In collaboration with We Love Leimert and UCLA, I am developing a community-based digital archive for the Queen Aminah African Art Collection. The project combines 3D digitization, oral history, photography, metadata design, and collection stewardship planning in one locally grounded documentation workflow.
The archive is being developed through Drupal database work with UCLA collaborators for use by community volunteers and UCLA students. Its structure supports object records, photographs, interview material, and locally grounded metadata so collection knowledge can be organized, reviewed, and stewarded with the people and institutions closest to the work.
